What is a strand?

Whether written, spoken or visual, a strand should relate to lives in the Strand area.

·      A strand could be an anecdote about an incident that took place on the Strand recently, or many years ago.

·      A strand could tell a story about one of the Strand’s many lines: backstreets that connect the Strand with Covent Garden; the parallel line of the River Thames.

·      A strand could be a photograph of a building on the Strand, or of someone who used to live or work in the locality.

·      A strand could be an object found on or near the Strand. 

How do I add a strand?

Once you have joined Strandlines Digitial Community, simply click on ‘add a strand’ in the column to your right (visible to members).

You will then be given a choice: ‘write a story’, ‘add an image’, ‘add an audio recording’, and ‘add a video’.
